SUMMARY
The Business Services Coordinator is responsible for all invoiced sponsorship processes, as well as third party collections management and other accounts receivable functions. This position works closely with students, SPC administrative offices, vendors (sponsors), and dual credit counselors.ย  This position must demonstrate flexibility as duties will change over time with new business office projects and other duties as assigned.ย 

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain accurate sponsor accounts while adhering to all state, federal, and college parameters.
Maintain sponsor relations and proactive communications.
Work with sponsors and students to collect all information necessary to award prior to payment deadline each semester.ย 
ย 
Submit invoicing to individual sponsors accordingly.
ย 
Receive sponsor payments through the Comptroller, ACH, credit card, and paper check.
ย 
Maintain thorough records of all sponsor creations, awards, and payments received.
ย 
Manage collection agency accounts.ย 
ย 
Balance reallocations according to payment method as required on all student accounts after each academic term.
ย 
Effectively communicate Business Office procedures to students, staff, and sponsors.
ย 
Must have excellent communication skills to advise students on a variety of billing and Business Office topics such as account balances, financial aid, refund procedures, student direct deposits, and tax forms.ย 
ย 
Primary backup for Refund Coordinator, including student disbursements, housing deposit refunds and forfeits, balance statements and holds, website maintenance, financial aid bookstore reconciliations, and all refund communications via text and email.
ย 
Serve as backup cashier.
ย 
Crosstrain for daily cashier reconciliation and GL updates.
ย 
Answer Business Office main phone line and emails daily.
ย 
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate degree required/bachelor's degree preferred.
Related experience preferred.
Knowledge of Colleague billing software preferred.
Experience with Excel and Word required.
Higher education experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions. The ability to effectively respond to questions from faculty, agencies, students, and the public is essential. Excellent communication skills needed.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole
numbers, fractions, and decimals.ย  Ability to use a 10 key or calculator. ย 
REASONING ABILITY
Must have the ability to manage workflows with little or no supervision. Must be a self-motivated individual with great attention to detail. Applicant should be a critical thinker who can adapt quickly to changes.
