Job description

As Merchant Services Controller - Associate in the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will manage product and legal entity controller functions, collaborate with various functional groups, and contribute to key business transformation projects. This role offers an opportunity to develop strong working relationships and enhance your analytical skills in a dynamic environment.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist and deliver finance workstreams for strategic projects (platform migrations, product launches, billing and reporting enhancements, legal-entity simplification), including requirements, design, UAT, cutover, and implementation.
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to the business, business managers, and senior finance management
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly close processes for your area
  • Partner with the business to drive and implement robust controls and new business initiatives
  • Promote coordination across various support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Manage or assist on projects and initiatives and represent finance key business transformation projects, as well as larger cross-business programs
  • Triage and execute ad-hoc requests in a dynamic environment, balancing day-to-day deliverables with project milestones and competing deadlines.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a related area.
  • Experience supporting finance workstreams on projects (e.g., new product implementations, platform enhancements), assisting with requirements, documenting controls, executing UAT, tracking issues, and providing support under guidance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience producing P&L and managing the month-end close process.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a strong control focus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
