Job description

As a Finance & Business Management - Associate within Commercial Banking F&BM you will support the Client Onboarding & Servicing (COS) organization, leveraging your penchant for story-telling with financial data and strategic, analytical and energetic approach. This is a high-impact opportunity on our F&BM team ensuring senior management across the Commercial & Investment Bank have visibility into major initiatives, business metrics, financials and data insights to achieve their strategic objectives. This role will provide support to senior Business and Operations leaders and key partners across CIB Finance, Business Management and Data & Analytics teams to enable effective end-to-end execution.

Job Responsibilites:

  • Experience with Business Management/Data Analytics
  • Partner with COS and CIB F&BM to prepare executive presentations - ability to package and present projections and performance trends by bringing financials and data together to tell a cohesive story
  • Design management reporting packages to communicate business results in a transparent and concise manner to all constituents
  • Ability to take analysis and create executive level presentation using PowerPoint PitchPro+
  • Coordinate deliverables with business managers, finance, project managers and other F&BM teams 
  • Analyze large amounts of data, assess KPI trends, and create impactful analysis to assist in developing COS strategy
  • Partner with COS and CIB F&BM team to budget and forecast headcount and direct expenses
  • Participate in the activity based costing process used to allocate expenses across LOB's and downstream client profitability system
  • Strong professional presence with the ability to communicate directly with all levels
  • Must be able to interact, collaborate, and partner with peer team members across business and staff areas at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over all resources 

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Bachelors degree with minimum 3-4 years of experience in financial data analysis and story-telling 
  • Ability to work collaboratively; develop strong partnership with multiple levels of employees
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to tell the story on initiatives with the ability to produce successful results in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with business stakeholders to interpret and present complex data with strong attention to detail and solid work ethic
  • Highly motivated, proactive attitude, with a natural passion to learn and an inquisitive personality
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with a mature, independent, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills required and knowledge of or experience with BI tools, databases and SQL Querying is a plus
