What is business funding sales?

Business funding sales involves helping companies find and secure financial products such as loans, lines of credit, or other funding solutions to support their operations and growth. Professionals in this role identify potential clients, understand their financial needs, and match them with appropriate funding options offered by lenders or financial institutions. They often guide clients through the application process, answer questions about terms and rates, and work to close deals that benefit both the client and the funding provider.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a business funding sales professional?

To thrive as a Business Funding Sales professional, you need strong sales acumen, financial literacy, and a solid understanding of business lending products, often supported by a background in finance or business administration. Familiarity with CRM platforms, underwriting software, and financial analysis tools is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, persuasive communication, and resilience help differentiate top performers in this field. These skills are essential for building trust with clients, accurately assessing funding needs, and consistently closing deals in a competitive marketplace.

What are some common challenges faced in business funding sales and how can they be overcome?

Professionals in Business Funding Sales often encounter challenges such as building trust with clients, navigating complex financing options, and meeting ambitious sales targets. To overcome these, it’s important to develop strong product knowledge, stay up-to-date on current funding solutions, and maintain transparent communication with clients. Successful salespeople also collaborate closely with underwriting and account management teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently, which helps foster long-term relationships and repeat business.

About Us

We are building a serious business funding sales floor for reps who want to win, earn, and grow.

Our company helps business owners access working capital, lines of credit, debt consolidation solutions, and other funding products. This is not a customer service role and not an order-taking position.

This is a high-performance sales opportunity for someone who knows how to:

  • Prospect
  • Follow up consistently
  • Control conversations
  • Build trust
  • Close deals

We are looking for motivated, coachable, professional sales reps who want real upside and long-term growth potential.

If you need a guaranteed salary and do not like being measured by results, this is probably not the right fit.

If you are competitive, disciplined, confident on the phone, and want uncapped earning potential with a weekly draw while building your pipeline, this could be a strong opportunity.

Responsibilities

You will manage business funding opportunities from initial contact through submission and close.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting outbound calls to business owners and warm leads
  • Following up consistently through phone, text, and email
  • Asking qualifying questions to determine funding potential
  • Collecting business information, revenue details, and required documents
  • Explaining funding options clearly and professionally
  • Building trust with merchants and positioning the company as a serious funding partner
  • Maintaining accurate CRM notes and pipeline activity
  • Working with underwriting and management to move deals forward
  • Negotiating intelligently and helping close fundable deals
  • Staying disciplined and consistent with daily sales activity

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who can communicate confidently, handle pressure, and sell professionally.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Strong phone presence
  • Confidence speaking with business owners
  • Ability to handle objections effectively
  • Consistent follow-up discipline
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Competitive mindset
  • High accountability
  • Ability to learn scripts and improve sales tonality
  • Professionalism with clients and team members
  • Strong desire to earn at a high level

Preferred Experience

Experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate.

Preferred Background Includes:

  • B2B sales
  • Outbound calling
  • Inside sales
  • Merchant cash advance (MCA)
  • Business funding
  • Lending
  • Debt consolidation
  • Financial services
  • CRM systems
  • Phone sales and closing

Prior funding experience is a plus, but sharp, coachable candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

This is a performance-driven sales role with uncapped commission potential.

We provide a $500 weekly recoverable draw against commissions to support the right rep while building their pipeline.

Top performers can realistically earn between:

  • $80,000 – $250,000+ annually

Income depends on:

  • Activity
  • Consistency
  • Skill
  • Follow-up
  • Closing ability

This opportunity is built for people who want upside — not people looking to coast.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

  • Weekly draw against commissions
  • Uncapped earning potential
  • In-person sales floor environment
  • Growth opportunities within the company
  • Real funding products for business owners
  • Direct access to leadership and underwriting
  • Training on scripts, qualifying, follow-up, and deal structure
  • Opportunity to help build a serious funding operation from the ground up

Important

  • This is not a remote position
  • This is not a base salary role
  • This is an in-person, performance-driven sales position
  • You must be comfortable working in a commission-based structure with a recoverable draw
  • This is not a cold calling funding shop, we provide you hot leads that you work through high volume text messaging
  •

Requirements

  • English required
  • Ability to commute daily to Forest Hills, NY 11375
  • B2B sales experience preferred
  • Outbound calling experience preferred
  • CRM experience preferred
