COMPANY OVERVIEW: A specialty services provider
POSITION TITLE: Director of Business Development Manager
COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary + DOE

LOCATION: Houston, Texas
SUMMARY: This individual will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies that expand market share within refining, petrochemical, power generation, and broader industrial sectors. The role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, relationship-driven sales, and executive-level engagement with owner-operators, EPCs, and industrial service buyers.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead business development strategy for rotating equipment services across target markets
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with:
    • Refinery and petrochemical owner-operators
    • Power generation facilities
    • EPC firms and industrial contractors
  • Identify and secure new revenue opportunities tied to:
    • Turbine services (steam/gas)
    • Compressor maintenance and overhauls
    • Field services, outages, and turnarounds
  • Drive long-cycle sales efforts from opportunity identification through contract execution
  • Collaborate with operations and technical teams to align service capabilities with client needs
  • Position UPS as a value-added partner through consultative selling and solution-based offerings
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within rotating equipment services
  • Support proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations
  • Meet and exceed revenue and growth targets

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of business development or sales leadership experience in:
    • Industrial services
    • Rotating equipment (turbines, compressors, pumps)
    • Refining, petrochemical, or power sectors
  • Strong existing relationships across Gulf Coast industrial markets
  • Proven track record of generating and closing high-value service contracts
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Mechanical turnaround environments
    • Maintenance and reliability programs
    • Rotating equipment lifecycle services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and complex deal structures
  • Self-starter with a strategic, growth-oriented mindset
