Your role and responsibilities

We are hiring the GM Business Line Leader for Energy Distribution NEMA for the Smart Buildings Division.

We are looking for a passionate, inspiring, innovative, and visionary leader. You will drive the growth and secure market leadership of the Energy Distribution business in their journey towards a safer, smarter and sustainable world, with leading technologies and customer intimacy. Three main product lines in this business are Breakers, Transformers and Enclosures, with manufacturing footprint in US and LATAM.

You will be accountable for the business Profit & Loss, the portfolio, operations and the go-to-market. You will lead with purpose and empowerment, and you drive simplicity, accountability and speed by creating an environment where all employees are proud to be part of, act with transparency and integrity, feel comfortable to speak-up, collaborate and make an impact to the success of the organization.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Profit & Loss responsibility, reporting to Division President
  • End-to-end responsibility to drive our NEMA business growth, focusing on portfolio cost competitiveness and securing target margins
  • Ensure the organization is customer driven and externally focused
  • Secure market opportunities and deliver products and solutions which improve our customers' experience and sustainability
  • Unlock the potential of ABB technology innovation in portfolio management, towards a sustainable and eco-friendly portfolio
  • Understand cost profile of the business to optimize gross margin
  • Invest in people development
  • Develop a Sustainability and Integrity culture for all business activities

Qualifications for the role
  • Proven track record as a P&L leader focusing on performance and feedback culture
  • Significant experience of end to end responsibility with full accountability and ownership with one level-up thinking approach
  • Customer mindset with strong "outside in" attitude
  • Market sector knowledge: creative business mindset with a balance of insights in our markets, our technologies, finance and operations
  • Proven experience in leading in complex multinational organizations
  • A genuine passion for developing people
  • Ability to create and communicate strategic operational plans and value propositions to key stakeholders

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $239,300 and $398,700 annually.
