Position Summary

Our client is Unilever - one of the world's most recognized and trusted consumer goods companies, with iconic brands including Dove, Hellmann's, Vaseline, TRESemme, Liquid IV, and OLLY.

We're looking for driven, curious, and analytical students to join the Customer Development team as Fall 2026 Interns.

Customer Development (CD) is Unilever's sales organization. This team works closely with major retail partners to drive category growth, execute business strategies, and bring shopper-focused solutions to life.

As a Customer Development Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting real business initiatives while working alongside experienced leaders and cross-functional teams. You'll have exposure to data analysis, customer strategy, category planning, and business development projects that directly impact the business.

Your Responsibilities

Depending on your team assignment, responsibilities may include:

  • Accessing, managing, and analyzing customer and sales data
  • Supporting the development of customer and category growth strategies
  • Translating insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Assisting with reporting, presentations, and business reviews
  • Supporting retailer and promotional planning initiatives
  • Collaborating with internal teams including Sales, Brand, and Category teams
  • Supporting customer-facing initiatives and Joint Business Planning activities
  • Monitoring business performance metrics and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Helping ensure projects, timelines, and deliverables are executed effectively
  • Presenting internship project findings and recommendations to business leaders at the end of the program

Your Experience

In addition to everything outlined in The Perfect Person for the Role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor's degree program
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
    • VLOOKUP
    • Pivot Tables
    • SUMIF
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST with no academic conflicts
  • Eligibility to work full-time in Canada for the duration of the internship
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of 2 in-office days per week
