How You'll Make an Impact

The Investly Business Development Associate supports the Investly Business Development team to be the most effective channel for driving high-quality users, investors and funded investors, while being cost-efficient. You'll learn about Canadian investors, identifying their needs, and sharing solutions that can help them meet their financial goals. With this role, you'll also be a source for instrumental feedback and data to inform our Product roadmap.

Primary responsibilities:

1) Sponsorship & Partnership Development

  • Identify and secure sponsorship opportunities with local organizations, clubs, and events aligned to business goals such as funded investors, and AUM.

  • Build a roadmap of regional initiatives for ongoing business development that raise awareness of Investly and support sales targets.

  • Work with Marketing, Compliance and Dealer Compliance departments to make sure events align with our guidelines.

2) Regional Strategy & Reporting

  • Gather and analyze regional market trends and user data to inform strategy.

  • Acquire and assess qualitative feedback from prospects and clients, inputting into CRM or equivalent system.

  • Use approved, in-house AI tools such as Co-Pilot to discover insights into sales tactics to inform and adjust strategy.

  • Collaborate with the rest of Growth, Finance and Digital Client

  • Experience to validate and share regular reports on activities, outcomes, and opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM or equivalent systems and ensure compliance with company policies.

3) Sales & Client Support

  • Support sales initiatives by prospecting new relationships and following up with clients.

  • Perform outbound sales calls and emails to support acquisition tactics and retention.

  • Book and coordinate meetings with prospective clients and partners, ensuring all interactions are tracked and followed up promptly.

  • Deliver on client requests and provide best-in-class support and market updates.

  • Create and support the creation of marketing materials for in-person and virtual client meetings.

  • Respond efficiently to inquiries within SLAs.

4) Event Planning & Hosting

  • Determine creative, high-quality, and unique client events to demonstrate appreciation and establish strong business relationships.

  • Research and book venues, negotiate pricing for small-medium events, and manage invitations and RSVPs.

  • Host and greet at events as needed.

  • Manage business entertainment and workplace gift programs for the region.

  • Present on Personal Finance, Investing 101, Basics of budgeting, etc.

5) Create Brand Awareness and an Understanding of Investly's Value Proposition

  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of Investly brand and can persuasively articulate Investly value proposition versus competitors.

  • Embodies brand values, engaging customers on the brand, through relationship building resulting in downloads, users, and ultimately funded investors.

  • Effectively listens and captures prospective and current client feedback, developing an acute understanding of what drives prospective and current clients towards and away from engagement with the app.

  • Meets with leader to for coaching and feedback, implements feedback and suggestions to drive better results.

  • Successfully employs posts on social media, within Fidelity guidelines, to expand reach.

  • Meets or exceed monthly targets.


What We're Looking For

  • Completion of university degree in finance, business administration, or relevant field; or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in financial services, preferably in sales or customer service.

  • Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual range of $59,000 to $71,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
