About The Role

The Director, Business Development role delivers sales support to an assigned block of advisors to promote the growth of their practice. This is accomplished through understanding the advisor's business, and matching their needs to the HUB value proposition, as well as carrier partner investment and insurance products and resources. You will be further successful by driving campaigns established to grow the written business within your block and identifying opportunities for Advisors to work with our Advanced Case and Estate Solutions team, and our Investment Sales Team.

What You'll Do

  • Drive new sales through building strong Advisor relationships.

  • Provide recommendations on various products, completing comparisons, and carrier options based on Advisor requests to drive new written business

  • Actively review cases with Advisors and present them with the most suitable solutions using illustration platforms, 'Propel" and marketing materials

  • Promote HUB tools and resources to HUB advisors

  • Actively promote campaigns to drive new written business

  • Constantly learning and participating in insurance carrier training to stay informed and educated on industry best business practices

What You'll Need for Success

  • Strong knowledge of carrier investment products and insurance planning

  • LLQP - Life License Qualification Program is an asset

  • 2 + years of relative experience in the life insurance industry

  • Great presentation and communication skills

  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills

  • Post-secondary education preferred

  • Desire and willingness to commit to higher industry education (QAFP, CFP, and CLU, etc.)
