JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director Business Development is a strategic partner in driving revenue, expanding market share, and cultivating lasting customer relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and nurture customer relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and growth.
  • Create and execute customer capture strategies
  • Collaborate with operations to develop tailored, winning proposals that exceed client expectations.
  • Assist in developing RFP responses and negotiating contracts that align with company goals.
  • Meet or exceed targets for revenue, new customer acquisition, and profit margins.
  • Partner with leadership to define customer segments and execute strategies that unlock scalable growth.
  • Communicate tactfully, skillfully and persuasively to negotiate new and renewals with customers
  • Operate as a key contributor to a high-performance, cross-functional team culture built on trust, communication, positive energy, and execution

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven progressive sales experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Communications preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and quota achievement.
  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, World),
  • Travel 30-50% based on business needs, team support and customer requirements
