The Property Detective (TPD) is seeking an outgoing, motivated, professional, and results-driven Business Development & Administrative Assistant to help grow our presence throughout South Florida while supporting day-to-day business operations.

IMPORTANT: This is a fully bilingual position. Professional proficiency in BOTH English and Spanish is REQUIRED. Candidates must be able to speak, understand, read, and write professionally in both languages. Applicants who are not proficient in both English and Spanish will not be considered.

About the Position

The primary responsibility of this position is business development, brand outreach, and Realtor referral development.

You will represent The Property Detective in the community, develop relationships with real estate professionals, introduce agents and brokerages to our services, visit real estate offices and open houses, conduct outreach and follow-ups, and work to develop long-term referral relationships that generate new business for TPD.

This is not a traditional desk-only administrative position. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting new people, starting conversations, networking, promoting a brand, handling objections, following up consistently, and turning professional relationships into business opportunities.

The position also includes administrative responsibilities and direct support of TPD's daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with real estate agents, brokerages, and other potential referral partners.
  • Visit real estate offices, open houses, networking opportunities, and other relevant locations.
  • Professionally introduce and promote The Property Detective and its services.
  • Conduct in-person, telephone, email, and message-based outreach.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective and existing referral partners.
  • Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with Realtors.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts, leads, outreach activities, and referral relationships in the company's CRM.
  • Help strengthen TPD's brand recognition and presence throughout South Florida.
  • Manage and coordinate inspection schedules.
  • Answer and respond to company calls, emails, and messages.
  • Assist with client and Realtor communications.
  • Research property, permit, and other relevant public records.
  • Assist with report preparation and administrative review under the supervision of a licensed home inspector.
  • Provide additional business-development and administrative support as needed.

Requirements

  • Professional proficiency in both English AND Spanish — REQUIRED.
  • Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write professionally in both languages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, persuasion, and sales abilities.
  • Comfortable approaching and starting conversations with people you do not know.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor when representing TPD.
  • Confident, outgoing, organized, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and follow up consistently.
  • Comfortable using computers, business software, and CRM systems.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid automobile insurance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally for business-development activities.

Previous experience in sales, business development, real estate, marketing, customer service, or administrative work is preferred, but we are willing to consider exceptional candidates who demonstrate strong communication, sales potential, professionalism, and motivation.

Compensation & Performance

This position offers base compensation plus referral commissions and performance-based bonus opportunities.

Employees have the opportunity to earn additional compensation for qualifying inspections generated through real estate agents they successfully recruit and develop as TPD referral partners.

This is a performance-oriented position. Business-development goals will be established and reviewed periodically. Employees who exceed established performance expectations may qualify for additional bonuses.

The compensation structure is designed to reward results: the stronger the referral relationships you build and the more business you help generate, the greater your earning potential.

Training

The selected candidate will complete an onboarding and training process designed to provide the knowledge and resources necessary to represent TPD professionally.

Training will include:

  • The Property Detective brand, services, and standards.
  • Home inspection industry fundamentals.
  • Realtor outreach and referral-development strategies.
  • Company software and CRM systems.
  • Scheduling and administrative procedures.
  • Client and Realtor communication standards.
  • Field exposure to the home inspection process.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can confidently walk into a real estate office or open house, introduce themselves and TPD, start a professional conversation, build rapport, and create a relationship that continues after that first interaction.

At the same time, this person must be organized and dependable enough to assist with the administrative side of a growing company.

If you are fully bilingual in English and Spanish, enjoy meeting people, have strong communication and sales abilities, and want an opportunity where your performance can directly increase your earnings, we encourage you to apply.
