POSITION PURPOSE:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve budgeted goals for the facility. The Business Development Representative is responsible for developing and managing systems, particularly the referral development program. The Business Development Representative is also responsible for collaborating with the Senior Director of Business Development and staff to assure exceptional client and community satisfaction, and in developing and achieving community education and awareness goals.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Preferred undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university; professional experience may substitute for degree requirement. Must be computer literate.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of one year of marketing experience preferred; preferably in a health care delivery system setting.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

CPR 

KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE:

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION

  1. Assist in all areas in the development of marketing/PR materials and events that will be utilized for building relationships with senior executives, medical professionals, and other key decision makers, through presentations, seminars, trade shows, cold calling and telemarketing that will result in new patient referrals.
  2. Directly assist and support marketing department personnel at key meetings with executive level audiences. Travel runs 25-75% and can encompass nights and weekends.
  3. Demonstrate punctuality, organization, and proficiency in all areas of scheduling, filing, meetings, presentation, and customer relations.
  4. Perform follow-ups as directed by management on prospect meetings and assist in the successful negotiation and acquisition of new referral/patient streams from targeted groups or individuals.
  5. Demonstrate initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership of work to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing goals in both written and verbal formats.
  6. Develop and provide professional/community education programs to support referral development activities.
  7. Review with the Senior Director of Business Development concerning the satisfaction levels of clients and referral sources.
  8. Address with the Senior Director of Business Development, both operational issues and enhancement of customer (client and referral source) satisfaction.
  9. Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to cultivate a center-wide referral base with diversified cultural aspects.
  10. Implement specific relationship-building strategies of key referral groups (i.e., clinicians, judicial).
  11. Collaborate with the Senior Director of Business Development to develop and implement direct promotional strategies.
  12. Maintains 15% of cost vs. revenue.
  13. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules that adhere to requirements.
  14. Cultivate lifetime referents that increase downstream conversions.
  15. Problem solve and adapt solutions for goals.
  16. Provide GRN representation at local events amongst their local community.
  17. Immerse GRN into the local community by co-sponsoring and hosting Luncheon Learn events.
  18. Manage monthly expenses, marketing budgets and event budgets.
  19. Strategize with the Director for best practices with all efforts, as well as to identify new market opportunities.
  20. Attend monthly staff meetings and Performance Improvement meetings.
  21. Assist in special projects.
  22. Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  23. Maintain open communication with corporate staff, center staff, physicians, clinicians, and referral sources.
  24. Respond positively to changing situations in the work setting.
  25. Understands and adheres to all policies regarding client rights, as well as the anonymity and confidentiality of all clients past and present.
  26. Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with GRNH, LLC’s privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with the company’s policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  27. May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that it is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have specific client information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other GRNH, LLC operations.
  28. Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding GRNH, LLC’s policies and procedures on client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
  29. Perform other duties as assigned.
