Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with an existing book of business, that brings in new business and retains existing business. This role works with and builds relationships with Time Logistics' Brokerage Department, Pricing Department, and the Executive Team to generate leads and support the sales process for large and/or complex opportunities. Additionally, the sales representative will participate in strategic account discussions, contract, and pricing strategy directly with the office network and/or the customer directly.

Business Development and Account Management

  • Designs and implements solutions for products and services. This includes partnering with internal pricing teams and being a liaison between the customer and network to create pricing models and strategies.
  • Generate new clients through cold calls and follow up calls (Minimum 20/day or 100/wk)
  • Utilize CRM system to track sales leads, customer interactions, and sales progress.
  • Work with the Marketing department to maintain and continuously enhance customer sales presentations.
  • Provide necessary details for assembling quotes, RFPs, or bid requests and follow up with clients.
  • Assist with carrier vetting and procurement for potential new business
  • Manage new account operations including but not limited to negotiating, vetting and booking carriers on loads, quoting rates to client, maintaining account within Transportation Management software, tracking freight from pick up through delivery, and communicating with client.
  • Maintain awareness of accounts and involvement with clients, coordinating with Business Development Manager to ensure all shipping needs and parameters are met, including troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with management to implement new marketing promotions and assist with sales strategies.
  • Travel regularly to new or existing customers.
Maintain Client Relationships

  • Builds trusting relationships by acting as an ambassador for the customer.
  • Collaborates with management to proactively identify and/or resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Provides industry feedback to the executive team on trends, pressures, and competitive evaluation of key competitors in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrates or develops product and service capabilities and addresses detailed functional and technical questions.
  • Responds to network inquiries on topics related to the industry, market trends and competitive intelligence for the mode/service.
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team or customer specific requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • High school diploma/GED required, Bachelors degree preferred. Supply chain management, business or finance degrees preferred.
  • 3+ years previous sales in client and carrier base, operations and/or account management experience, logistic experience
  • Existing book of business preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in 3PL sales.
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce), ZoomInfo or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to create and sell comprehensive solutions and service packages to all buying influencers.
  • Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable financial results through sales or account management solutions.
  • Successfully operates within approved budget.
  • Strong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills and business acumen.
