We are seeking a Business Architecture Senior Manager to shape how complex organizations translate mission and business needs into integrated, actionable designs for transformation.

Role Summary

The Business Architecture Senior Manager provides program-level leadership across interconnected transformation workstreams. This role defines how business capabilities, processes, rules, roles, data, and technology must work together and ensures that decisions made in one area account for impacts across the broader organization.

The Senior Manager partners with client leaders, subject-matter experts, and delivery teams to clarify the current state, design future-state operations, resolve cross-functional issues, and connect business intent to requirements and implementation. The role alsoestablishesbusiness architecture standards, guides detailed analysis, and helps teamsmaintainconsistency from strategy and design through delivery. Successrequiressystems thinking, strong facilitation and advisory skills, and the ability to create clarity and alignment in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business architecture across complex transformation initiatives, connecting missionobjectivesand business needs to future-state design and implementation
  • Define andmaintainintegrated views of business capabilities, processes, rules, roles, data, systems, and performance measures
  • Assess current-state operations,identifygaps and dependencies, and develop practical future-state recommendations
  • Establish business architecture principles, standards, and frameworks to guide analysis and design across workstreams
  • Ensure requirements, process designs,operating-model decisions, and technology solutionsremainaligned with business intent
  • Evaluate cross-functional impacts andfacilitateresolution of issues that span organizational or delivery boundaries
  • Facilitate executive discussions, working sessions, and design decisions with client leaders, subject-matter experts, and delivery teams
  • Translate complex business needs into clear models, roadmaps, decision materials, and implementation guidance
  • Adviseprogram leadership on design tradeoffs, sequencing, risks, and organizational implications
  • Guide and review the work of analysts and consultants to ensure quality and consistency
  • Contribute to client growth and VSTI’s business architecture methods, tools, proposals, and reusable practices
  • Create an integrated view of how strategy, operations, workforce, data, and technology must work together
  • Enable senior leaders to make informed decisions about complex designs, tradeoffs, and organizational implications
  • Surface cross-functional impacts and dependencies early enough to shape program direction
  • Preserve alignment between business intent and the solutionsultimately implemented
  • Create clarity and momentum across stakeholders and workstreams with differing priorities
  • Earn trust as a pragmatic advisor who can translate complexity into actionable direction
  • Elevate the quality and consistency of business architecture work across the engagement
  • Develop team members and strengthen VSTI’s business architecture capabilities, methods, and intellectual capital

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business architecture, business transformation, operating model design, or a related consulting field
  • Experience leading business architecture for complex, technology-enabled transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate business capabilities, processes, rules, roles, data, systems, and performance measures
  • Experience translating mission and business needs into future-state designs, requirements, roadmaps, and implementation guidance
  • Strong systems-thinking, analytical, facilitation, and executive advisory skills
  • Ability to evaluate cross-functional impacts, resolve complex issues, and guide decisions across multiple workstreams
  • Experience leading teams and reviewing complex analytical and design deliverables
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Federal government or other regulatedenvironment experience preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce implementations or Salesforce-enabled transformation programs isrequired;experience with other enterprise platforms and technologies is a plus
  • Business architecture, business analysis, project management, Agile, or related certifications are a plus

Candidateslocatedin the Washington, DC metropolitan areaarepreferred. Hybrid or remote work arrangements may be available depending on client needs. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
