As a business applications analyst, you create computer application solutions to meet the needs of a business or organization. Your job duties include evaluating business needs, documenting systems requirements, and translating data between business users and technical developers. A career as a business applications analyst requires you have some formal education and qualifications, typically at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Excellent communication skills will always set you ahead of other candidates, as will prior experience working with business data computer systems.
