Senior Product Owner
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Senior Product Owner to support Agile Release Train (ART) delivery within a SAFe environment. This role is responsible for managing the team backlog, defining user stories, and ensuring the development team delivers value aligned with the product vision and roadmap defined by the Product Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, deep Agile experience, and a solid understanding of cloud technologies. Experience with government systems is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to understand the product vision, roadmap, and features.
  • Own and manage the team backlog, prioritizing user stories to maximize value delivery.
  • Define clear and actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning, system demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure alignment and clarity on requirements.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the Agile team, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technical environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with technical architects, business resources, and clients to drive decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with or within government systems or regulated environments.
  • Background in enterprise SaaS or platform products.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
