Business Affairs Manager Responsibilities:
  • Work across one of our pillars of business (Meta, Facebook app, Instagram or Messenger/WhatsApp) managing all Creative X work and involvement with external agency work
  • Advise on all Business Affairs matters for development, production, post production, sales, distribution, and service of all entertainment and business endeavors for Creative X from a legal, financial, entertainment and strategic perspective
  • Work with all cross-functional partners that make up the Business Affairs team: Legal, Finance, Sourcing, Partnerships, Music and Privacy
  • Project manage complex work streams
  • Work with legal team on production legal, litigation, copyright/trademark, music, and rights/clearance matters
  • Analyze deal opportunities and formulate business strategies with respect to various development and production matters
  • Maintain relationships with key agencies, managers and attorneys in the entertainment community
  • Oversee corporate compliance with contractual and legal obligations in regards to Media and Production

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in business affairs, entertainment law, or rights and clearances within an advertising agency, production company, brand, or entertainment organization
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting marketing campaigns that leverage artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including the ability to evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-driven solutions to achieve campaign objectives
  • Working knowledge of AI-related legal, ethical, and regulatory considerations, including conducting general AI reviews, applying legal guardrails, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Privacy, Policy) to ensure compliance and responsible AI use
  • Experience with social networking, platform integrations, publishing platforms, broadcast and new media
  • Experience with union requirements, agreements, and negotiations
  • Experience forming relationships with digital creators, publishers, creative agencies, and studio in negotiating strategic transactions
  • Experience in managing complex work streams and working with multiple cross-functional partners
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in business affairs, entertainment law, or rights and clearances within an advertising agency, production company, brand, or entertainment organization
  • Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA, AFM, and other relevant guild or union agreements as they apply to advertising and branded content production
  • Experience building or improving rights management systems, contract tracking tools, or clearance workflows at scale
  • Experience supporting business affairs for large-scale global marketing campaigns across digital, social, and broadcast platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Background working within a technology company or platform environment on brand or performance marketing creative productions
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
