Description
ActioNet is seeking a Senior Mobile Broadband Engineer to join our team in multiple conus locations.
Remote work is available for this position. The position requires up to 25% travel. This is a Mission Essential designated position per DFARS 252.237-7023.
Senior engineer, designing mobile broadband/cellular-related services across BAN. Understands requirements, ensures standards are followed for spectrum use, antennae placement, power requirements, back-haul connectivity. Ensures integrity and smooth operation of legacy and modernized communications networks, troubleshooting network problems and optimizing capacity. Installs and configures broadband systems and networks.
  • Diagnoses and resolves technical issues related to broadband systems.
  • Monitors and analyzes system performance. Performs regular maintenance on broadband systems to ensure longevity and optimal working condition.
  • Coordinates with Network Engineers to optimize network capacity and performance. Tests new broadband technologies before they are rolled out.
  • Documents installation, maintenance, and repair for future reference. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards during design, installation, and maintenance of mobile broadband systems.
  • Ensures compliance with safety procedures and standards. Has excellent problem-solving skills to resolve faults promptly and efficiently.

Degree: Technical BA/BS degree;
Experience: 7 years with bachelor's degree;
Commensurate: High School diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 10 years performing as a Broadband Engineer on large, complex networks;
Specific Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint; proficient in broadband system technologies; strong understanding of network protocol and infrastructure;
Certification(s): CCNA,JNCIA, or equivalent; CompTIA Security+;
Clearance: Active Secret
