Position Overview

Path Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This position requires you to deliver quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families facing an array of mental health challenges. You will utilize your expertise to diagnose, treat, and support clients as they strive for improved mental wellness and healthier lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and treatment goals.
  • Conduct regular counseling sessions via telehealth, employing strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Continuously assess client progress, modifying treatment plans when necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Document client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, coordinating discussions that promote healing, shared understanding, and community among participants.
  • Connect clients with additional resources or specialists when necessary, ensuring a comprehensive approach to mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a broad spectrum of individuals from various backgrounds, including adolescents, adults, and families. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing complex issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance abuse. Your role will include not only therapeutic intervention but also advocacy for clientsโ€™ holistic well-being.

Qualifications
  • A valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health treatment modalities and evidence-based practices.

Preferred Experience
