Path Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our vibrant team in Columbia, Maryland. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusting relationships with patients through empathic and encouraging communication.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose various mental health disorders and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and couples therapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to patient needs.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment strategies based on ongoing patient assessments and progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer clients to external specialists when specialized care is needed.
• Document sessions meticulously in our electronic health record (EHR) system to track patient progress and outcomes.
• Participate in case reviews and team meetings to discuss patient care and share insights for continuous improvement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest practices in marriage and family therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Path Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele facing various challenges, including marital issues, family dysfunction, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. The ability to connect with different family dynamics is essential, as you'll be guiding couples and families towards healthier interactions and resolutions.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Maryland.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic principles rooted in evidence-based practices.
• Exceptional skills in building rapport and effective communication with diverse clients.
• Capacity to motivate clients toward achieving their therapeutic goals.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling and co-occurring disorders is preferred.
• Previous experience in an outpatient counseling center or therapy practice.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Path Counseling Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
