Position Summary

The Brewpub Manager supports the daily operations of the Brewpub under the direction of the General Manager and Senior Brewpub Manager. This role is focused on execution, crew development, and maintaining operational standards. The Brewpub Manager is developing leadership skills while gaining experience in key management functions, including staffing, training, and shift execution. This position requires moderate supervision and growing independent judgment.

Guest Focus:

  • Maintains an environment of hospitality and execution during assigned shifts.
  • Addresses and resolves routine guest concerns; escalates complex issues to Senior BPM or GM.
  • Coaches BP Crew Members on service standards and guest engagement.
  • Supports initiatives to drive guest satisfaction and repeat visits.

Leadership:

  • Trains and develops BP Crew Members on daily responsibilities and standards.
  • Leads pre-shift meetings and ensures clear communication of expectations.
  • Provides real-time coaching, redirection, and feedback to team members.
  • Under the GM or SBPM direction,
    • Participates in hiring and onboarding of BP Crew Members.
    • Supports performance feedback conversations.
  • Builds positive team culture and morale during shifts.

Quality of Operations:

  • Executes company systems, checklists, and operational procedures.
  • Completes assigned audits and reports issues to SBPM or GM.
  • Maintains cleanliness, safety, and organizational standards at the brewpub.
  • Assists with vendor coordination and inventory processes as directed by SBPM or GM.

Company Systems, Procedures, and Policies:

  • Under the GM or SBPM direction,
    • Maintains and implements operational systems, policies, and procedures for their assigned location as needed.
    • Trains BP Crew Members on the proper completion of all internal and external forms, binders, and checklists.
    • Ensures BP Crew Members understand the corporate safety program and disseminates monthly safety information.
    • Implements corrective measures to reduce the risk of theft and/or robbery.
    • Demonstrates understanding of and adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations and required postings.
    • Facilitates and supports the company's marketing programs and directives.
    • Utilizes communication tools to keep staff informed of any changes to company policies and/or procedures.
    • Adheres to and promotes the company-established team member benefits programs.
    • Adheres to timelines established by the Home Office, including requests for information, documentation, and company program implementation.
    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date crew member files, ensuring compliance with HIPAA.

Financial Results:

  • Under the GM or SBPM direction,
    • Establishes guidelines for product ordering and receiving.
    • Ensures all invoices are up to date and processed according to the company's guidelines.
  • Follows the company's established procedures for accepting and managing all cash, credit card, and non-cash.
  • Supports in managing payroll processing for their assigned brewpub.
  • 1-2 years of progressive brewpub management experience within a full-service, high-volume, corporate and/or multi-unit environment.ย 
  • Emphasis in Hospitality/Brewpub Management preferred.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel applications. Experience with the Toast POS operating system.
  • Must be able to work in a high-volume and fast-paced setting environment.
