Job Summary
Are you the type of person who brings structure to a busy sales environment, enjoys coaching others, and naturally spots ways to improve processes and performance? Someone who thrives on collaboration and keeps teams aligned and moving forward? In this role you will lead sales training, track key performance metrics, manage daily sales operations, and ensure strong CRM usage. You'll lead marketing efforts on campaigns and lead generation, refine sales playbooks and outreach strategies, gather team insights to improve tools and processes, and support reps through escalations, conflicts, and high stakes deals. You'll also help organize contact targeting and influence sales and marketing teams. We're looking for someone with strong sales operations expertise, clear communication and coaching skills, a data driven mindset, and the ability to create structure while supporting a high performing team.
What You'll Do
1. Lead ongoing training for sales and product knowledge, ICIS usage, objection handling, and sales best practices.
2. Create and track KPIs (conversion rates, call volume, closure time, goal attainment) and identify performance trends or improvement opportunities.
3. Manage sales operations including inbox monitoring, call schedules, email campaigns, CRM usage, and data hygiene.
4. Lead marketing efforts including campaign alignment, sales funnel development, lead generation, and featured equipment promotion.
5. Gather team insights to improve processes, tools, and overall sales effectiveness.
6. Develop and refine sales playbooks, outreach strategies, lead processes, and follow-up protocols aligned with management direction.
7. Support the sales team by resolving concerns, addressing internal conflicts, maintaining policies, and assisting with escalated or high-stakes deals.
8. Organize and optimize contact targeting strategies ensuring reps maintain strong customer relationships.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in marketing and/or business with a minimum of ten years of sales experience including finance, marketing, lead generation, sales management, basic business principles, research skills, and customer retention skills; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Knowledge of all assigned business segment products, sales planning and execution.
- Demonstrated experience with product marketing, product launches, market research and communication management.
- The ability to achieve sales goals, meet financial requirements of segment, grow market share and meet inventory targets.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to be the HDD Broker industry voice to customers and various associations and market groups.
- The ability to handle confidential information, such as product group and corporate P & L, product development plans, and budgets.
- Good listening, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Travel
- Occasional travel is expected of this position.
Work Location
HYBRID: Some of a team member's day-to-day work may be best done at a location other than a Vermeer campus. Discuss specific arrangements with your manager.
