Job description

The main function of this position is to finish and package printed products. This requires the set-up and assembly of single and/or multiple components into a final product, either manually or by operating the following basic bindery/finishing equipment: shrink-wrapper, 30-inch cutter, padding racks, rubberstamp assembly, three-hole drill, spiral punch & binder, tab laminator & cutter, stitcher, box maker, table-top folder, table-top laminator, and high-speed punch.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the accurate reading and comprehension of written job specifications. Job specifications provide the production details of each job/finished product.
  • Responsible for the set-up and manual assembly of single and/or multiple components into a final kitted product. 
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient set-up and complete operation of all basic bindery/finishing equipment. 
  • Responsible for the correct packaging, correct labeling, and safe palletizing of final products. 
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient basic operator maintenance and cleanliness of all the equipment (and their respective work areas). 
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate accounting and reporting of production time and materials, via shop-floor data collection terminals.
