Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Software Engineer to support a shipyard-focused program. This role involves building and enhancing custom software solutions, analytics tools, and system integrations that support maintenance operations, performance tracking, and IT system management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development, experience with integrated IT environments-including Navy or defense-related IT systems-and the ability to contribute to data-driven applications and reporting platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications to support operational and IT system needs
  • Write, test, debug, and optimize code throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Create custom scripts, queries, macros, and analytics tools to support performance tracking and reporting
  • Contribute to the development and sustainment of enterprise IT software solutions
  • Assist with system deployment activities, including testing and release evaluations
  • Build applications that support dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualizations
  • Collaborate with internal teams on software portfolio planning and solution development
  • Develop and implement data integration solutions across multiple systems, including Navy IT systems
  • Support modernization initiatives, including enhancements to system usability and user experience
  • Create interactive training materials and instructional modules related to project management and system usage
