What is Bluebeam Software?

Bluebeam Software refers to a suite of software solutions, most notably Bluebeam Revu, designed for professionals in architecture, engineering, construction, and related fields. Bluebeam Revu allows users to create, edit, markup, and collaborate on PDF documents and drawings. Its tools are tailored for project efficiency, document management, and real-time collaboration, making it a popular choice for managing workflows in construction and design projects. Bluebeam also offers cloud-based solutions for sharing and reviewing documents among project teams.

How does a professional using Bluebeam Software typically collaborate with team members on construction projects?

Professionals using Bluebeam Software often collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors by sharing markups, comments, and documents in real time. The software’s cloud-based features, like Studio Sessions, enable team members to simultaneously review and edit PDFs, track changes, and resolve issues efficiently. This collaborative workflow helps reduce miscommunication, streamline project revisions, and keep everyone aligned on project goals. Regular coordination with project managers and other stakeholders is common to ensure that documentation is accurate and up to date.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Bluebeam Software specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Bluebeam Software Specialist, you need expertise in construction document management, digital markup workflows, and a solid understanding of architectural or engineering plans, often supported by experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry. Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu software, PDF editing tools, and familiarity with cloud collaboration platforms is typically required, and Bluebeam certification is advantageous. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills help specialists interpret complex drawings and coordinate with project teams. These skills ensure efficient project documentation, streamlined collaboration, and improved accuracy in construction workflows.

Job description

Marks Cabinetry Services – Southwest Florida
Locations: Fort Myers & Sarasota

At Marks Cabinetry Services, we have proudly served Southwest Florida for over two generations, specializing in high-end custom cabinetry, closet systems, and outdoor kitchens. With locations in Fort Myers and Sarasota, we partner with some of the region’s premier builders, contractors, and homeowners to deliver exceptional craftsmanship, innovative design, and a personalized client experience.

As we continue to grow throughout the Southwest Florida luxury home market, we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Designer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on custom new construction and high-end residential projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and creative Custom Cabinet Designer with strong technical design skills and extensive catalog knowledge to support our growing portfolio of luxury residential and custom builder projects. This role focuses heavily on space planning, cabinetry design, product specification, and coordination throughout the entire project lifecycle — from initial plans and builder specifications through final installation and project completion.

The ideal candidate thrives in a detail-driven environment, understands the expectations of high-end clientele and builders, and can effectively balance creativity, accuracy, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review architectural plans, elevations, and builder specifications to develop custom cabinetry solutions tailored to each project.
  • Collaborate with builders, contractors, homeowners, and internal departments to ensure design intent, functionality, and project expectations are achieved.
  • Create detailed cabinetry layouts and designs using 2020 Design and Bluebeam software.
  • Manage revisions, change orders, custom requests, and add-ons throughout the duration of each project.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of MasterBrand products, catalogs, finishes, accessories, and customization options.
  • Coordinate projects from initial concept through final completion alongside purchasing, operations, installation, and field teams.
  • Ensure all drawings, specifications, and project documentation are accurate and organized.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders and clients to promote long-term partnerships and referrals.
  • Stay current on cabinetry trends, construction practices, materials, and design innovations within the luxury residential market.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cabinet design, preferably within the custom home, luxury residential, or new construction industry.
  • Proficiency in 2020 Design software required.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and reading architectural/construction plans preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, layouts, materials, and industry terminology.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with high-end clientele.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred, but not required based on experience.
