Job description

SUMMARY: Promotes Bonded Lightning Protection Systems, Ltd. (Bonded) and allG Fabrication (allG) products through customer relations and networking. Reviews and/or prepares proposals for customers; analyzes blueprints, existing structures, specifications, proposals, and other documentation or services by performing essential duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities according to the Mission and Core Values of the Company
  • Actively promote Bonded/allG and the need for lightning protection services
  • Work with other departments within the company to furnish the customer with a complete bid package
  • Perform regular sales calls and cold calls to new and existing owners, homeowners, and contractors (Electrical Contractors, General Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Property Management Companies and Home Builders).
  • Primary territory includes the Austin metropolitan area and surrounding communities. Coverage may also extend to the San Antonio area as business needs require.
  • Perform customer relations and networking during regular work and non-work hours
  • Act as a representative for Bonded at third party events and trade shows during regular work and non-work hours
  • Consult with customers, vendors and other individuals to discuss and formulate scope of work on estimates.
  • Negotiate and receive authorization on projects
  • Consult with customers, vendors and other individuals to discuss scope of work on new and ongoing jobs in order to resolve issues
  • Provide improvement recommendations for estimating procedures, customer relations, sales follow-up processes and competitor markets
  • Identify cost trends and communicate to management
  • Present Lightning Safety Awareness programs
  • Perform estimates on new and existing projects from plans and site visits
  • Perform and prepare service inspections and repair and upgrade estimates
  • Review plans, photos and specifications for lightning protection and grounding installations
  • Review and develop an understanding of all lightning protection standards

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to pass criminal background check, drug screen and MVR
  • Possess excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Experience reading blueprints
  • Experience in electronic plan software and Project Management software preferred
  • Experience in Bluebeam software a plus
  • Strong background in construction required
  • Strong background in estimating and sales is preferred
  • Associates degree with two plus years related experience preferred / or equivalent combination of training and experience
