Job description

We are seeking a Biorepository Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.
Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 830 PM-5:00 AM

The Biorepository Associate is responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with receipt, QC, and storage of clinical specimens.
What you'll be doing:
  • Assist with receipt of consignments and shipments.
  • Open shipments and perform quality checks on patient info forms, escalating issues to senior staff.
  • Facilitate long-term storage or client sample disposition.
  • Support and respond to after-hour alarms and other critical functions.
  • Assist in maintenance of equipment.
  • Manage supply inventory and general cleanup of workstations.
  • Perform various administrative duties as required.
  • Organize the work area as requested by management.
  • Handle receipt of compounds and control material, depending on the functional area.
  • Follow safety procedures.
  • Participate in continuing education through self-study and meeting attendance.
  • Perform work in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
  • Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on the assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $24,400.00 - $50,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
