Job description

Mirxes is a Singapore-headquartered molecular diagnostic company with R&D, manufacturing, and clinical lab operations in Singapore, USA, Japan, and China. We specialize in microRNA technologies and the development, manufacturing, and provision of diagnostic test kits and clinical services. Our mission is to enable early disease detection and provide insights for better patient care by harnessing the power of microRNA to augment traditional testing. Our vision is to be the world’s leading developer and provider of accurate, actionable, and affordable microRNA-powered diagnostic tests.

Job Location: Remote in US, preferably in Boston

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead Discovery Genomics sales efforts in US and reports to HQ in Singapore.
  • Develop, implement and achieve company goals through sales planning and setting sales goals to achieve set forecasts.
  • Work closely with key healthcare, academic and translational institutes and selling channels to expand user base and drive sales.
  • Manage sales team goals and activities, leads, opportunities, pipeline and forecast (monthly) via CRM.
  • Close sales process from quote, evaluation, tender, purchase, delivery and invoicing. Act as point person to string functional groups (orderings, manufacturing, logistics, finance, support) together to ensure optimal customer experience.
  • Call for account centric functional group meeting to bring resources to the customers.
  • Monthly sales forecast/budget.
  • Identify areas and work together with stakeholders to sharpen sales processes.
  • Prospect new accounts and prepare information for all sales calls to secure new customers.
  • Support marketing campaigns with alignment with functional groups, marcom teams and business partners.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.
Desired Skills & Competencies
  • Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or Biomedical engineering (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or similar discipline) with sales and business development experience, or PhD in the same field with 1 year experience. Technical understanding of molecular genetics is preferred.
  • More than 2-3 years (Master’s) or 1 year (PhD) of proven hands-on experience in customer facing sales and business development in the genomics, molecular biology, or molecular genetics arenas.
  • Highly motivated and adaptable to ever-changing client needs and expectations.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with varied personalities, including different levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Self-starter and strong team player that takes the initiative and develop ideas with the team.
  • Experience working with non-US MNC a plus.

This position can be done remotely within the United States of America, but there is a preference to be based in Boston.
