Job description

The Bingo Attendant is responsible for ensuring customers have an enjoyable, friendly, and well-organized bingo experience by explaining games, selling bingo machines and paper, calling numbers, verifying winnings, paying prizes, and balancing all issued paper and money. This role requires strict adherence to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) core values, policies, and procedures, as well as Pueblo of Laguna Gaming regulations. Key duties include starting sessions and sales on time, accurately handling receipts and cash registers, maintaining organized sales, promoting and up-selling games and merchandise, updating signage (including progressive games), and ensuring all equipment (PA systems, caller equipment) and the stage area are in proper working condition. The attendant must also make clear announcements, speak effectively over microphones, monitor the audience to maintain order, keep games running during emergencies, and ensure guests understand all procedures. Exceptional customer service is essential, including building relationships, greeting guests warmly, assisting with gameplay, resolving issues professionally, and maintaining a positive, respectful attitude toward both customers and coworkers while working collaboratively as part of a team.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, documenting discrepancies, handling guest questions efficiently, learning guest preferences, and providing information about services, amenities, promotions, and events. The role requires flexibility to work under pressure, maintain punctual attendance, and work evenings, weekends, holidays, and unusual hours. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), relevant experience, be at least 21 years old, and have cash handling or calling experience (desirable). Basic computer and office equipment proficiency is required, along with the ability to use POS systems and microphone equipment. Physically, the position requires frequent standing, bending, lifting, and moving items over 50 lbs., along with repetitive hand use, while mentally requiring problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. The work environment is indoors with exposure to loud noise, confined spaces, and smoke. Employees must obtain and maintain a gaming license, comply with Title 31 (Bank Secrecy Act) certification requirements, and pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and a cashier test
