Job description

System One is hiring an Insurance Follow-Up Representative for a respected healthcare organization in Tulsa. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with medical billing experience who enjoys problem-solving and working directly with insurance carriers to resolve claim issues.

Pay: $18–$20/hour

What You'll Do:

  • Follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid or delayed claims
  • Research claim issues and work toward timely resolution
  • Submit appeals and additional documentation when needed
  • Monitor denied claims and assist with recovery efforts
  • Review account balances and prioritize outstanding receivables
  • Maintain accurate records of follow-up activity and claim status
  • Provide occasional support to the authorization team

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of insurance follow-up or medical billing experience
  • Experience working insurance denials and appeals
  • Familiarity with payer portals and claim status research
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Physician billing experience
  • Prior authorization experience
