Position Overview

Premier Physician Assistant Services is actively seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated team in Rochester, New York. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, plan, and implement medical care for patients in collaboration with a supervising physician. Operating within the full scope of your licensure, you will be responsible for the comprehensive delivery and evaluation of care, ensuring a seamless and effective patient experience. This includes direct patient care, patient and family education, and managing transitions of care. Through a structured, multi-disciplinary team approach, you will provide medical consultations, perform delegated therapeutic procedures, assist with various medical interventions, and contribute to the overall health and wellness of our patient population.

Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our Rochester hospital, where you will work Monday through Friday, typically from 5:00 PM to midnight, totaling 40 hours per week. The dynamic hospital setting allows you to engage with a variety of cases and collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and specialists. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and review medical histories to gather critical health information.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to assist in accurate diagnoses.
  • Diagnose and manage a range of health conditions and illnesses, particularly within family medicine.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for chronic and infectious diseases, ensuring tailored care for each patient.
  • Prescribe necessary medications and monitor patient responses to treatments, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain organized documentation of patient records and schedules, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on health conditions, preventive care measures, and wellness strategies.
  • Monitor and manage patients’ overall health, advocating for lifestyle changes that promote wellness.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain updated on advancements in primary care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Strong clinical background with a minimum of two years of experience in a relevant healthcare setting, such as a family health clinic or hospital.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
