Brown & Brown is seeking a Benefits Relationship Manager to join our growing team in Greensboro, NC!
The Benefits Relationship Manager will provide prompt, efficient, and high-quality customer service. This position is responsible for monitoring all tasks and deliverables, fielding customer inquiries, and managing all project plans. The Employee Benefits Relationship Manager is the primary contact for our customers in managing day-to-day resolution and highly focused on customer timelines.
How You Will Contribute:
  • Establish strong relationships with customers and insurance carriers.
  • Provide proactive support to assigned customers. Act as the primary contact between customers and insurance carriers.
  • Collaborate and delegate amongst team to ensure customer timelines are delivered.
  • Supports implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up accounts, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with customer and carrier.
  • Receive, process, and respond to customer inquiries regarding, but not limited to, existing policy questions, coverage change requests, requests for new policies, certificates of insurance, billing, payments, or any other service-related matters.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Manage and document renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance documents into the agency management systems.
  • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
  • Promote a commitment to achieve or exceed internal and external performance standards.
  • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Active Life, Accident, and Health License

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
  • High level of knowledge about the benefits we service including medical, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, AD&D, voluntary benefits, dental, and vision.
  • Experience handling employee benefit account renewals, service needs, and customer escalations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • High Level of confidentiality
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Power Point.
