Job description

Job Description:

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical aspects of projects to profitable completion
  • Call on General Contractors for new projects
  • Generate sales from General Contractors
  • Develop relationship with clients
  • Gain repeat client business
  • Use Accubid to estimate and generate new proposals on commercial construction projects
  • Collaborate with Bates estimating staff to generate new proposals on commercial construction projects
  • Schedule manpower including subcontractors for proper and timely installation of respective scope
  • Assure quality workmanship
  • Close projects out in good order

Project Management

  • Familiarize self with construction schedule, and ensure the end date is clear to the job super
  • Ensure Bates is on schedule to meet the GC milestones and end date
  • Visit jobsites to ensure all staff, materials, and equipment are in-line with current needs
  • Train Job Supers to Bates standards
  • Assist Job Supers in estimating labor hours remaining to complete projects
  • Help Job Supers bring jobs in within budget
  • Coordinate and handle General Contractor’s needs
  • Monitor work in-place as project progresses
  • Evaluate and prepare Change Orders as required
  • Coordinate with Purchasing department on job setup and submittals
