Job description

The Head Varsity Baseball Coach will lead, organize, and oversee all aspects of the Flowery Branch High School baseball program. This position is responsible for building a competitive, disciplined, and student-centered program that reflects the values, expectations, and pride of Flowery Branch High School.

The head coach will teach the fundamentals, strategies, and skills of baseball while helping student-athletes grow as young men through character, accountability, teamwork, and pride in representing FBHS.

Possible teaching positions include special education and math.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and supervise the full baseball program, including varsity, sub-varsity, and feeder-level connections.
  • Develop a clear program philosophy, expectations, and year-round plan for player development.
  • Teach baseball fundamentals, game strategy, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
  • Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes through words, actions, and daily leadership.
  • Work closely with the Athletic Director and school administration.
  • Supervise, support, and evaluate assistant coaches.
  • Monitor student-athlete academics, behavior, attendance, and eligibility.
  • Communicate clearly with players, parents, staff, administration, and the community.
  • Promote sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, self-confidence, and pride in Flowery Branch High School.
  • Ensure all GHSA, Hall County, and FBHS athletic policies are followed.
  • Manage equipment, facilities, inventory, uniforms, and program needs responsibly.
  • Assist with scheduling, transportation, field preparation, practices, games, and special events.
  • Build strong relationships with youth programs, middle school programs, community partners, and alumni.
  • Represent Flowery Branch High School in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school varsity level.
  • Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, player development, program building, and GHSA rules.
  • Ability to lead coaches, motivate student-athletes, and build a positive team culture.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the field.

Athletic Director and Principal

Job Goal:
To lead a baseball program that develops successful student-athletes, builds school and community pride, competes with class, and represents Flowery Branch High School the right way on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
