Position Overview: Rocker B Ranch is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Baseball Operations Manager. This role will play a key part in the planning, coordination, and execution of our renowned baseball tournaments, ensuring an exceptional experience for all teams, players, and families. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for sports operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Baseball Operations & Leadership:
    • Assist in the coordination of all tournament logistics, including planning, scheduling, and ensuring the smooth execution of baseball tournaments.
    • Collaborate with various departments to optimize ranch operations and enhance the overall guest experience.
    • Monitor and track tournament progress by inputting game scores, updating standings, and communicating real-time information regarding game delays, cancellations, or changes to coaches and participants.
    • Act as a point of contact for coaches, teams, and participants, ensuring all aspects of the tournament meet Rocker B Ranch's standard of excellence and creating a positive, seamless experience.
  • Tournament Coordination:
    • Draft, adjust, and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all tournament activities.
    • Manage team registrations, ensuring all participant information is accurate and up to date.
    • Oversee tournament timelines and ensure games are running according to schedule, addressing any delays or issues that may arise.

  • Infrastructure & Facilities Support:
    • Work with the General Manager to provide and build out periodic updates on the status of active facility and construction initiatives
    • Assist the GM in building and maintaining an annual repairs and maintenance plan tied to seasonality and asset condition
    • Support procurement by coordinating vendor bids and organizing documentation and timelines
  • Communication & Customer Service:
    • Facilitate clear and consistent communication with participants, coaches, and staff, ensuring everyone is informed of tournament updates and changes.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues related to the tournament.
    • Ensure a smooth and efficient flow of all tournament-related activities, making sure all aspects of the event are in line with Rocker B Ranch's mission of providing a world-class experience for athletes and their families.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience in sports operations, event planning, or tournament managements, preferably in a baseball/softball environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with teams, coaches, and other business departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Ability to perform administrative duties pre, during, and post tournament play
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate tournament schedules
