Job description

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, an AmLaw 100 law firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring Paralegal to join its AZ, CO, or NC office. This position requires an understanding of and experience with commercial real estate and transactions, either from the acquisition and development side of the transaction or from the finance and lending side of the transaction, as well as excellent technical and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. Womble Bond Dickinson is committed to leadership in attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce of highly talented professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Title and survey review for commercial real estate loans and other commercial financing transactions
  • Manage and review due diligence, including closing checklists, lien and litigation search reports, organizational documents, title and survey materials, etc.
  • Draft and review ancillary loan documents, including UCC financing statements, closing certificates, authorizing resolutions, and closing instructions letters
  • Draft and manage documentation related to the formation and dissolution of corporations, limited partnerships, and LLCs; prepare corporate and LLC resolutions, annual maintenance filings (such as annual consents); and handle other filings including business qualification applications and assumed name certificates.
  • Manage closing and post-closing logistics
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including general corporate transactional projects

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate is preferred
  • Two or more years commercial real estate experience in a mid or large-sized law firm is preferred
  • Knowledge of the relevant ALTA endorsements
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal communications skills
  • Confident and at ease when engaging directly with clients.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently

COMPENSATION: The national salary average is approximately $55,000-$102,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications, and experience.
