Job description

Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $110,570.00The Retail Business Development Officer is responsible for driving consumer and small business growth across multiple branches within a defined market area. This role focuses on developing new relationships, deepening existing ones, and executing strategic initiatives to increase deposits, loans, and other banking products. The position serves as a key liaison between branches and the market leadership team to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Education and Experience:

  • 5years of experiencein retail banking, business development, sales management, or relationship management
  • Bachelor's degree in business concentration (management, finance, marketing) or a combination of education andrelevantexperience
  • Community leadership affiliations (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, small business development councils)preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to generate new consumer and small business relationships.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, and pipeline management skills.
  • Ability to coach, influence, and support branch teams to achieve growth goals.
  • Ability to build trust with customers, community organizations, referral partners, and internal teams.
  • Experience developing and executing marketlevel strategies.
  • Deep understanding of retail banking products (deposits, loans, digital tools, treasuryservices).

    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through networking, community engagement, and referral partnerships.
    • Collaborate with branch teams to execute targeted campaigns and promotions.
  • 25% Relationship Management
    • Build strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and centers of influence.
    • Partner with branch managers and staff to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
  • 25% Market Strategy Execution
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
    • Support branches in achieving sales goals through coaching, training, and joint calls.
    • Coordinate with marketing teams to implement localized strategies and events.
  • 10% Cross-Selling & Product Expertise
    • Promote a full suite of retail banking products including deposits, lending, treasury services, and digital solutions.
    • Educate clients on financial solutions tailored to their needs.
  • 5% Other duties as assigned.
