  • This is aRemote role, but the candidate must reside in one of these counties(LA County/Orange County or San Diego County).

Zions Bank has just opened an opportunity for aDealer BankingBusiness Development Officer based in the Dealer Banking Department. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced individual to help us expand the Dealer Banking footprint into new markets and continue to build our $1 billion+ portfolio.
Zions Bank has been providing Dealer Banking Credit products (floorplan, CAP, and commercial real estate) to car dealers for over 35 years. The spectrum of new franchised auto dealerships ranges from Mitsubishi to Ferrari and includes all domestic brands. Zions has the largest market share in Utah for financing auto dealerships, and desires to increase penetration across the Bancorp footprint in all twelve western states.
We have an excellent performance record financing new auto dealers and an experienced dedicated credit team to support sales efforts.

What will your day look like? You will be:
  • Source and develop prospects, new clients and sell business banking services and products to dealers.
  • Develop sales strategies and expand referral sources.
  • Pass off prospects to Dealer Banking Relationship managers to close relationships.
  • Gather data to be used in the selling process, participating in community organizations and activities, and assisting prospective clients in completing loan and services applications.
  • Incumbents do not have responsibility for maintaining ongoing relationships.

Who should apply?We want someone who has:
  • Requires a bachelor's in business, Finance or a related field and 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, loans, banking/finance products and services or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Preference given to individuals with prior Dealer related marketing experience.
  • Working knowledge of sales techniques, business development, banking/finance products, and services.
  • Must have solid customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Solid problem resolution and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with internal staff in relationships.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and general PC's skills.
