Bemont Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Manager to lead our Coral Gables/ Florida branchlocated at 2020 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134. This role is responsible for providing strong leadership, overseeing day-to-day branch operations, developing and supporting employees, and ensuring an exceptional experience for customers while maintaining compliance with all applicable banking policies, procedures, and regulations. Candidates must have prior managerial experience in the banking industry, including a demonstrated ability to lead teams, oversee branch or departmental operations, and ensure adherence to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Summary:

The Branch Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and evaluating the activities and day-to-day operations of the Retail Banking function in alignment with the Bank’s established policies, procedures, strategic goals, and objectives. This position plays a key role in driving branch performance, developing employees, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding the Bank’s presence within the local community.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, results-oriented leader who is comfortable balancing multiple priorities and can effectively lead, coach, motivate, and collaborate with employees at all levels. The Branch Manager serves as a visible leader within the branch and community and is accountable for achieving growth, service, sales, and financial performance objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for but not limited to: approvals/overrides, creation and implementation of sales goals, coaching of retail employees, staffing, business development, loan growth, knowledge and understanding of commercial lending products and annual reviews of employees. As a branch manager, the individual will have the responsibility for the branch's results, working with the guidance of the Bank's benchmarks for customer growth and retention, revenue, and market share. The individual will be looked upon by the retail staff for guidance, motivation and support. The branch manager is vital for the growth of the core deposits of the bank. Branch manager should have sales and/or service leadership and effectively achieve sales goals. The individual should have a working knowledge of local centers of influence and established relations in the local community.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution in the field of business, including courses in finance, accounting and economics. At least 2 years leadership/management experience in the financial services industry is preferred. Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing branch or departmental operations, and achieving sales and service goals. Prior banking management experience, including knowledge of retail banking operations and regulatory requirements, is strongly preferred.

Language Ability:

Strong written and verbal skills are necessary as well as the ability to negotiate, reason and make decisions.

He/she must have the ability to effectively present information to management, employees, clients, public groups and the board of directors. He/she must be people-oriented with good communicative and interpersonal skills as well as good written skills. The individual must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

Math Ability:

The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, cash flow, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages is necessary. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra is required. The ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, legal documents and technical journals is also necessary.

Reasoning Ability:

A comprehensive understanding of retail and commercial banking products offered is required. The individual should be well trained in business development, having the knowledge and capability to present and sell the Bank’s products and services. The individual should have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of questions and complaints from customers on a daily basis. The individual should be able to profile potential consumer and small business customers to determine which product set will best suit them as well as being able to sell those products to them. The branch manager will be looked upon for guidance by both customers and staff.

Computer Skills:

Strong PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, internet and internal software are required.

Certificates and Licenses:

Certificates from retail or commercial banking classes are preferred. Additional licenses are beneficial, but not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has significant supervisory responsibilities and is responsible for the leadership, management, coaching, development, and performance evaluation of the retail banking team. The Branch Manager is expected to establish clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, recognize employee performance, and address performance concerns in a timely and professional manner.
