GMP is a member of Ascend Partner Services, a PE-backed growth partner.
About GMP Advisors
The GMP story began in 1982 when a group of seven professionals set out to create a better public accounting firm. Their goal was simple but ambitious: serve clients as trusted advocates for their businesses, their families, and their employees - while building a workplace free from micromanagement where professionals could flourish creatively, grow professionally, and maintain balance in their lives.
More than four decades later, that founding vision still drives everything we do. Today, GMP Advisors is a full-service public accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Tyler, Texas, with more than 100 professionals across Audit, Tax, Advisory, and Outsourced Accounting/CFO services. We offer the depth and breadth of a large regional firm while preserving the collaborative, people-first culture our founders built from day one.
We are in an active period of growth - expanding our team, deepening our service capabilities, and investing in the people who make it possible. If you're looking for a place where your contributions are visible, your development is supported, and your career has real room to grow, GMP Advisors is that firm.
The Role
GMP Advisors is seeking an Audit Supervisor to join our growing Audit practice in Tyler, Texas. In this role, you will lead client engagements across a diverse portfolio that includes Oil & Gas, Construction, Government, and other industries - managing relationships, supervising and developing engagement teams, and delivering the high-quality work our clients have come to expect from GMP.
This is a high-visibility position within a firm that is actively growing its Audit practice. For the right candidate, GMP offers meaningful career development and a clear path toward increasing responsibility over time.
The Audit Supervisor will:
  • Lead and ensure the engagement team maintains a high degree of accuracy and timeliness across all audit engagements.
  • Review the work of junior staff and prepare more complex sections of engagement files. Set the culture for the engagement team and mentor members in their career development. Listen actively and assist team members in developing goals that support both their growth and department objectives.
  • Deliver quality client service in accordance with GMP's values to build and maintain client loyalty. Contribute to a positive client and team member experience on every engagement.
  • Utilize CCH Axcess, CCH Engagement, DataSnipper, and other cutting-edge tools & solutions to manage workflow, documentation, and audit evidence. Focus on solutions and creative problem solving to help make timely decisions and improve engagement efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA license or actively pursuing licensure and eligible to sit
  • 4+ years of increasing responsibility in public accounting, with a focus in audit
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrably strong leadership and team development skills
  • Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Experience with Oil & Gas, Government/Single Audit, and/or Construction engagements
  • Familiarity with CCH Axcess and/or CCH Engagement
  • Experience with DataSnipper or similar audit analytics tools

How to Apply
Submit your information in the application section directly below! This will include:
  • Basic contact information
  • Resume/CV and optional cover letter upload
  • Work eligibility and compensation
  • Voluntary demographic & self-ID questions
