Requirements

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements for a variety of clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all phases.
  • Develop audit plans, including risk assessments and audit strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior auditors, providing guidance and support throughout engagements.
  • Review and evaluate internal controls, financial statements, and accounting records.
  • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to clients to enhance their financial processes and controls.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the audit process.
  • Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Stay current with industry developments and changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Skills:

  • 2 to 5 years of previous experience in public accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good project management skills (ability to meet deadlines within agreed upon budget)
  • Professional attitude and ability to represent the firm brand
  • Must be a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to exercise professional humility
  • Give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to train, develop and supervise staff
  • A good sensor of humor is a plus!

Industry experience in (any or combination of) construction/contractor reviews, investment fund/broker dealer audits, HUD audits, Single Audits, EBP audits preferred
