You'll lead high-impact initiatives that convert casual readers into known users and loyal subscribers-powering smarter marketing across email, SMS, and beyond. Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
  • Develop and execute data-informed strategies to grow first-party audiences across email and SMS
  • Drive paid media efforts in collaboration with Growth Marketing to increase reach and lifetime value
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to expand and retain high-value audiences aligned with subscription, commerce, and advertising goals
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle, Newsletter, Editorial, and Product teams to optimize user journeys and conversion paths
  • Enhance on-site lead generation tools and placements to maximize registration and engagement
  • Own reporting and dashboards to track acquisition, engagement, and conversion performance
  • Lead A/B testing and experimentation to improve funnel performance and channel effectiveness
  • Bring new ideas to the table, test them rapidly, and formalize successful strategies into scalable best practices

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
  • 5+ years of experience in audience development, growth marketing, CRM, or digital marketing
  • Demonstrated success growing first-party data through registration and email acquisition
  • Skilled in analytics tools and campaign reporting (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, Sailthru)
  • Understanding of paid media strategy and lifecycle marketing a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Highly analytical, creative, and collaborative with a test-and-learn mindset
  • Hybrid role based in NYC; in-office presence required 4 days per week

Compensation
The base salary for this role is between $88,000 - $106,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
