Description
The Test Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of our products. The role will work cross-functionally to identify and resolve defects and ensure that products meet performance, reliability and user experience standards.
  • Derive / verify customer test specifications
  • Maintain and utilize computer software programs for test data acquisition, reduction, plotting and tracking
  • Plan and conduct tests of Diesel Engines, Cross drive transmissions, and other Powertrain equipment
  • Write and maintain and make improvements to Renk test procedures and standards.
  • Prepare test documentation and customer presentations.
  • Design and specify control systems for test cell operation, test fixtures and test equipment including system design, software and sensor selection, panel lay-out and schematic development.
  • Work with test technicians in the operation and maintenance / upgrade of test equipment.
  • Introduce new concepts for test engineering.
  • Work closely with internal test customers.

Level / pay for this position will be commensurate with education and experience.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field with 2 years prior related experience.
  • Associates Degree in a Technical field with 6 year prior related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Substantial experience with system control methodologies and technologies and the acquisition of electronic control system data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of test equipment and methods including data acquisition and instrumentation.
  • User Level Experience with National Instruments Labview and OPTO 22 software/hardware systems.
  • Experience post-processing data using Excel and/or MATLAB/Simulink preferred.
  • Ability to work well with internal and external customers and Government representatives.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to get security clearance required.
  • Must be able to move freely, with or without accommodation, throughout the manufacturing environment.
