Position Title: Technical Project Manager
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire Technical Project Manager opportunity located in Milpitas, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with all cross-functional teams to support the creation and continual driving and tracking of the master project plan and schedule.
  • Management of mission-critical projects within that schedule with the ultimate goal of bringing the product to market successfully and efficiently.
  • Lead project meetings and identify and document results and actions.
  • Resolve conflicts and drive effective decisions.
  • Create and support effective communications of data and progress with respect to milestones.
  • On-site engineering project management at engineering builds in Asia
  • Manage project budgets, PO, and invoices.
  • Manage key business units to meet critical phase milestones on time and on budget.
  • Manage Engineering Build, DOEs, and design reviews across worldwide customer sites.
  • Develop cross-functional management tools to better integrate team members worldwide.

Job Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Engineering preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading and managing product development.
  • Planning and scheduling rapid development and a strong understanding of project planning strategies.
  • Experience with product definition and specification
  • Experience with management or performing testing and debugging of hardware and software.
  • Experience in qualifying parts and systems for mass production preferred.
  • Experience with offshore manufacturing is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel overseas.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to understand technical challenges in detail.
  • Experience with matrix management
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and people management skills, including fluency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese
