Job description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and hard-working Senior DevOps engineer to join our team, so we can achieve our goals in migrating Onprem / AWS application to Azure and improve performance and efficiency in our software delivery. An individual with a forthright attitude, comfortable challenging the status quo and is always striving to improve.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation, and management of our Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating the deployment of applications.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates.
  • Hands-on experience and understanding of containerization and orchestration with Azure Kubernetes, Docker
  • Design and implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure the health and performance of cloud resources and applications.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize cloud resources, improve performance, and reduce costs through monitoring and analysis of system metrics.
  • Automate routine operational tasks and administrative workflows using scripting languages such as Python / PowerShell to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in collaboration with security teams.
  • Providing Level 2 application support for technical issues, Deploying fixes and updates.
  • Understand our tools and processes so that you can contribute to their improvement and maturity.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Azure Cloud senior DEVOPS Engineer
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and automation tools (e. g., Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e. g., Python) for automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like DataDog.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Experience in migrating and transforming existing systems to the cloud using Azure tools and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology

Qualification:

  • Must have a degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years in programming
  • 2+ years of experience of using build and deployment tools ( ex: Docker)
  • 1+ years in DevOps automation across various technologies
  • Azure Fundamentals AZ 900 /
  • Azure Developer Associate, 2 years' experience with Azure development tools AZ 204 /DevOps Engineer Expert: Either Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Developer Associate certified AZ 400/Azure DevOps Security related certification (AZ-500)
