Job description

Title: Strategy & Operations Analyst
Function: Consumer Lending • Originations
Reports to: Head of Growth
Level: Associate / Analyst
Location: Addison, TX (5 days/week in-office)
Please note: This position is open to candidates within commuting distance to the DFW metro area only. Applicants must reside in Texas and be authorized to work in the United States. Applications from candidates outside of Texas will not be considered at this time. While we appreciate interest from all applicants, Braviant Holdings is unable to sponsor visas at this time.
Who We Are
Founded in 2015 and based in Chicago, IL, privately held Braviant Holdings, LLC is a leading provider of tech-enabled consumer credit products that combine breakthrough technology and cutting-edge machine learning to transform how people access credit online. Our next-generation approach to lending reduces credit barriers and creates a Path to Prime® - helping millions of underbanked consumers build credit history, reduce their cost of borrowing, and take control of their personal finances. Braviant has been named multiple times to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies and has been recognized as a Best Place to Work.
We are a lean team of approximately 40 people who move fast and hold ourselves accountable for real outcomes. Everyone here rolls up their sleeves - including this role.
About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, execution-oriented strategist to join our Growth team and help drive performance across consumer lending originations. This is a high-impact individual contributor role sitting at the intersection of strategy and operations - you'll own the analysis, shape the roadmap, and roll up your sleeves to make things happen.
You'll work directly with the Head of Growth and partner closely with Marketing, Engineering, and Credit/Risk to identify growth opportunities, optimize acquisition channels, and build the operational infrastructure that lets our originations scale. If you thrive in a lean environment where you write the playbook as you go, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Growth
  • Execute on the originations roadmap across direct mail, digital, and partner/affiliate channels - tracking progress, flagging blockers, and keeping initiatives moving
  • Build business cases to support channel expansion & testing
  • Define and track OKRs/KPIs for originations performance; surface actionable insights on a regular cadence
Operations & Execution
  • Own funnel and conversion reporting end-to-end - build, maintain, and improve dashboards that drive daily decision-making
  • Identify operational bottlenecks across the origination funnel and design scalable process improvements
  • Create and maintain process documentation and SOPs that help the team move faster and more consistently
Cross-functional Partnership
  • Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Translate business needs and originations priorities into clear, structured requirements for the engineering team - Write requirements, define acceptance criteria, and document workflows to ensure engineering builds the right things in the right order
  • Own UAT (user acceptance testing) for originations-related releases - validating that what ships matches what was requested, support launch planning and go-to-market execution for initiatives

What We're Looking For
Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance.
  • 2-4 years of experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, investment banking, or a high-growth fintech/startup environment
  • Background in financial services, consumer lending, or a closely adjacent industry preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of owning cross-functional projects from analysis through execution
  • Experience translating business problems into functional requirements, user stories, or product specs for an engineering or development team
Skills & Tools
  • Strong SQL skills - you're comfortable writing queries to answer your own questions without waiting on a data team
  • Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or equivalent); able to build and maintain dashboards independently
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for research, drafting, and analysis - you use these daily, not occasionally
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication; able to distill complex analysis into crisp, decision-ready outputs
Mindset
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity - you don't wait for the perfect brief to get started
  • Bias toward action; you ship, learn, and iterate rather than over-engineering upfront
  • Naturally curious about the numbers and willing to dig until you have an answer you trust
  • Collaborative and low-ego - you give credit, ask for help, and make the team around you better
  • Actively experiments with AI tools to work faster and smarter - you view them as force multipliers, not gimmicks

Nice To Have
  • Prior experience in consumer lending originations, underwriting, or direct marketing
  • Familiarity with origination platforms and/or call center operations
  • Experience building or contributing to analytics infrastructure (data pipelines, reporting schemas)
  • Exposure to A/B testing methodology and experiment design

Benefits & Perks
Compensation at Braviant is competitive and commensurate with experience. Details will be discussed with qualified candidates during the interview process. In addition, we provide:
  • Comprehensive healthcare including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous paid time off, including PTO, sick time, and 13 company holidays
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • Participation in annual discretionary bonus plan
  • Regular team and company gatherings

Why Join Us?
This role offers real ownership and visibility in a business where data-driven decisions move the needle. You'll work on problems that actually matter - acquisition economics, channel optimization, funnel efficiency - alongside a team that values rigor, speed, and getting things done. There's no politics here, just a clear mission and room to grow.
