Job description

Our client is seeking a Licensing Coordinator with a knowledge and passion for music. The individual will be responsible for delivery and management of the music library to production teams. Tracks and maintains use of music for across the company library and is responsible for the completion and delivery of cue sheets from productions to the Performance Rights Organizations. Supports research and tracking of music clearance requests for commercial music. Reports to Programming and Music Business Operations Lead. Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and commuter benefits.
  • Pay rate: $30 per hour
  • Hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM
  • Hybrid work model: 4 days in office in Secaucus, NJ (Monday, -Thursday) , Fridays remote
  • Assignment length is 12 months+
Responsibilities:
  • Works with the Teams Coordinating Producer, Supervising Producer, and Broadcast Operations to deliver music for nightly live productions
  • Makes sure all production groups have access to music assets and receive proper training on the cloud music platform
  • Maintains music assets for on-site team working with producer/associate producer
  • Collects, tracks, and submits music cue sheets working with internal Content Operations team to quality check against accuracy of third-party reporting
  • Supports end-to-end music clearance workflow to ensure requests for commercial/popular music are executed for use across curated and original content
  • Tracks and reports music budgets at the direction of Programming and Music Business Operations Lead
  • Supports Coordinating Producer, Supervising Producer, and Broadcast Operations during live production
  • Recommends and creates music playlists for themes and special projects
  • Onboarding and training of production crew on accessing the music library
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a creative and/or music function in media, sports, or music industry
  • Diverse knowledge of various music genres
  • High organization and project management skills
  • Understanding of music workflow in broadcast production environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours (days, nights, and weekends)
