What You'll Do

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner (Associate HRBP) serves as a trusted resource to employees and managers by supporting employee relations matters, leave administration, accommodations, and day-to-day HR operations. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive employee experience while ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with company policies and values.

The Associate HRBP will primarily own Tier 1 employee relations matters and support Tier 2 issues. This role works closely with managers and employees to provide guidance, support workplace investigations, navigate employee concerns, and coordinate leave and accommodation processes.

The ideal candidate is organized, solutions-oriented, empathetic, and capable of handling sensitive situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and confidentiality.

Employee Relations

  • Own Tier 1 employee relations matters, including employee concerns, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, documentation, and corrective action processes
  • Conduct prompt, thorough, and fair investigations into employee complaints, performance concerns, and policy violations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to employee relations matters, investigations, leaves, accommodations, and employment actions while supporting compliance with company policies and employment laws
  • Partner with HR leadership on more complex employee relations matters and escalations
  • Identify trends and proactively escalate risks or concerns impacting the employee experience
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and HR compliance activities
  • Support the administration and coordination of employee leaves of absence and workplace accommodations, including FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and return-to-work processes
  • Build strong working relationships with employees and leaders across assigned business groups
  • Partner with managers to provide guidance on employee communication, performance concerns, documentation, workplace expectations, and employee support practices
  • Help foster a positive, consistent, and supportive workplace environment by balancing employee advocacy with business needs and organizational values

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience with exposure to employee relations, leave administration, accommodations, and manager support

  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing sensitive employee relations matters
  • Ability to navigate confidential and complex situations with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cases simultaneously
  • Experience supporting managers through performance concerns, coaching conversations, and corrective action processes
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to balance employee advocacy with business needs

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred

At PracticeTek, we determine compensation by considering market data, internal equity, and each candidateโ€™s skills and experience. For this position, we reasonably expect to pay between $80,000 - $100,000. This role is also eligible for benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and may be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or equity, as applicable.
