Job description

Future Standard is currently seeking talent with strong quantitative, qualitative, and interpersonal skills for an Associate position on the Future Standard Digital Infrastructure ("FSDI") team (formerly Post Road Group).

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS EXPECTED TO:

  • Review and evaluate investment opportunities (both equity and credit) across the digital infrastructure industry
  • Conduct due diligence on existing and prospective investments, and play a lead role in the quantitative and qualitative analysisย 
  • Build,ย maintain, and stress-test detailed financial models and valuation analysesย to support investment decisionsย 
  • Draft investment memoranda and present recommendationsย to the Team's Investment Committeeย 
  • Work cohesively with management teams of existing portfolio companies to monitor and track investments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3+ years of relevant investment experience, with a strong preference for direct investing experience - both credit and equity are ideal, though not required. The ideal candidate is "plug and play" and able to contribute meaningfully from day one
  • Digital infrastructure experience strongly preferredย - data centers, fiber, towers, telecom services, or related sectorsย 
  • Ability to underwrite and conduct due diligence on direct investment opportunities, including formulating due diligence plans and quantitative data requestsย 
  • Significant financial modeling experience and strong valuation skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsย 
  • Able to be in person in Stamford, CT office 5 days per week
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality, comfortable owning significant responsibility on a small, collaborative teamย 
  • Strong academic credentials, including a BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accountingย
