What you'll do

As an Associate Consultant, you'll combine analytical, business management, creative thinking, interpersonal, and leadership skills, developing each over time. Be in the thick of the actions to business and marketing questions like:

  • How much should I invest in marketing to meet business goals?
  • What brands, products, and seasons were most profitable, and why?
  • What marketing levers do I increase or decrease to enhance overall profitability?
  • What competitive, cultural, economic, perceptional, and social factors influence sales gain or loss?
  • What marketing budget, mix, and positioning help meet business goals?

To address these critical questions, you will become adept in:

  • Mathematical modeling
    • Creating econometric models to estimate marketing-driven sales and return on investment (ROI)
    • Implementing machine learning (ML) to forecast consumer response and future ROIs
    • Diagnosing mathematical integrity and actionable business implications from model results
  • Business and marketing insights
    • Identifying brand, category, and competitive information that explains clients' sales
    • Evaluating media budget, media mix, and media buys to address sales from media
    • Assessing target customers and audience to shape future brand and media strategies
  • Business communication and project management
    • Interviewing clients' teams and marketing partners
    • Training of effective and succinct presentation abilities

About you

General prerequisites

  • Recent graduate with two or less years of experience in data science, consulting, or marketing analytics
  • A team player who is also an independent thinker; recognition that value comes from a collective effort
  • Strong analytical skills with curiosity and a willingness to think the impossible
  • Deadline-driven, organized, and capable of multi-tasking
  • Strong verbal and written skills with an interest in presentations

Preferred background

  • Coursework in econometrics, machine learning, multivariate analysis, and/or time series analysis
  • Proficiency or familiarity with open-source modeling languages, such as R or Python
  • Proficiency or familiarity with data and spreadsheet tools like MS Excel/PPT, SQL, and/or Tableau
  • Any prior interest or knowledge in marketing science topics and advertising/media data
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in quantitative discipline is a plus

 Compensation Range: USD $55,765.00 - USD $85,878.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
